There are opportunities for patients and the public, researchers, students, healthcare professionals, industry, charities and other organisations to contribute to and work with the MRC Centre of Research Excellence in Restorative Immunology.
People affected by immune-mediated inflammatory disease are central to the Centre’s work. Patient and public contributors will help shape our research, from developing studies and identifying important questions to reviewing research and communications and contributing to appropriate Centre boards and working groups.We are building a diverse Centre-wide patient and public involvement and engagement community and will provide the support, training and accessibility arrangements needed to enable meaningful involvement.As opportunities to become involved become available, we will share them here.
The Centre brings together researchers, clinicians and research professionals from different disciplines, institutions and career stages. There will be opportunities to contribute through our Research Streams, working groups, events and wider Centre activities.
We want to create connections across disciplines and institutions and provide opportunities for people to develop new collaborations, contribute expertise and become involved in restorative immunology.

The Centre will support a new generation of researchers through an interdisciplinary doctoral training programme in restorative immunology. Our PhD students will work across disciplines and institutions and become part of a wider community of researchers working across the Centre.
Alongside doctoral training, the Centre will provide opportunities for skills development, mentoring and interdisciplinary training, including activities designed to support researchers at different career stages.

Working with organisations beyond academia is an important part of the Centre’s approach. We are interested in building relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, charities, healthcare organisations and other partners whose expertise and capabilities can contribute to restorative immunology.
Partnerships may include collaborative research, knowledge exchange, access to therapeutic assets, technologies or data, and opportunities to develop and evaluate promising new approaches. We want to build relationships that bring complementary expertise into the Centre and help translate discoveries towards patient benefit.
